I had the pleasure today to catch up with the homie Darin Maki. Darin is back in LA from Japan where he lives and plays basketball professionally for the Tokyo Apache. He has be rocking MOSLEY TRIBES for a while now and it is always good to hear whats good in Japan. It was really interesting to get a first hand account of what went down in Tokyo during the earthquake. Darin said that it shook for a really long time and that he ran out of his building down on the street and it was completely crazy with glass falling, bricks and power lines all over the place. Darin got out 5 days after the quake to come stay with his fam here in So. Cal. We wish him and all our Japanese family our prayers.
Still in the shoe game.
Check out this video where Darin talks about his shoe collection.
Day Job.
The Hayes in Black and Gold are the new look. Thanks Buddy.
This past week I had the pleasure with meeting Mike and Jason from PARABELLUM, I have to say that it has been a long time since I have seen a company/brand pay as much attention to detail and quality. The iconography, subtle symbolism, and precise package presentation makes thier products supreme. The leather goods that they produce is made from 100% American Bison leather that is from fully grown and mature 15 year old bison. Through using older and more mature leathers they achieve amazing textures and patterns that cannot be achieved in processed leathers. Kevlar is used to reinforce all their goods as an interior liner and space age ceramic buttons that brand each piece in the collection. When you are at Collette in Paris or Tomorrowland in Tokyo take a look at the collection, it will blow your mind.
Opening Ceremony just celebrated there 1 year anniversary for there Tokyo location, we want to thank our partners in Japan for all there support and hard work in getting MOSLEY TRIBES into the right doors. OP is a purveyor of all things fashionable and is a great look for us as we venture into new territory on the other side of the Pacific.

So we set our sights on Tokyo, Japan and we can now say that MOSLEY TRIBES has a presence there. Last week we had an exclusive showing of MT to all the right stores and magazines at our OLIVER PEOPLES location in Tokyo. Above you can see Larry choppin it up with the locals.
