NEW ERA FLAGSHIP STORE
December 14th, 2011The NEW ERA Los Angeles Flagship store recently opened up on Melrose in the same storefront that was once home to BAPE (RIP). The question had to be asked… what took so long?!

The store is filled with every special collaboration you’ve never seen including a few pieces sold exclusively in the shop.

Independent streetwear brands are also represented including our friends @ Crooks & Castles, Hall of Fame LTD., Frank’s Chop Shop and many more.

Pujols and Wilson? Sorry Angel fans – I’d take Cy Young award winner Clayton Kershaw and the TRUE NL MVP Matt Kemp any day. Here at MOSLEY TRIBES we bleed DODGER BLUE. Bring on the freeway series!

Hats off to store manager Melloe and the great staff at NEW ERA LOS ANGELES, welcome to the city.

ART IN THE STREETS
November 30th, 2011As a follow up to MOCA’s incredible Art in the Streets show, the West Hollywood Library teamed up with some legendary street artists to let them add their personal touch to the brand new building.
THE Shepard Fairey

New York’s own Kenny Scharf.

And my personal favorite, RETNA (a.k.a. Marquis Lewis). RETNA is KILLING it right now.

Check out the work on San Vicente and Melrose.

LIGHTS // CAMERA //
November 21st, 2011Last Thursday we worked late into the night at a studio in downtown Los Angeles photographing the upcoming campaign for MOSLEY TRIBES. It was a long night of work, we were grinding on set till after midnight - but great company and great food got us through.

The prep…

The Goods…

// ACTION!

Of course you’ll have to wait on the photos for the upcoming campaign for just a bit. Rest assured they’ll be worth the wait.

BRUNCH
November 11th, 2011Breakfast for lunch? When it comes to The Griddle the answer is always YES. An unassuming store front and a nondescript location next to the Directors Guild on Sunset might deter some, but The Griddle is one of the few restaurants in Los Angeles that lives up to the hype. Brave the line on weekends for the best breakfast in the city. Streusel, butterscotch chip, and carmel filled pumpkin pancakes topped with whipped cream with a side of bacon and of course, MOSLEY TRIBES Dorset. Yes please.

FOUND
November 2nd, 2011On the corner of IVAR and YUCCA in Hollywood are 6 of the most unique shops you’ve probably never heard of. LOST & FOUND is a collection of 6 separate stores all operating under owner Jamie Rosenthal. When you visit, be aware that not all of the stores are open at all times, you will need to ask to be let in to any of the 6 stores.

LOST & FOUND is a refreshing retail experience and offers a little something for everyone. Each of the stores caters to different people, among them you’ll find a Men’s clothing store, Women’s clothing store, Children’s Store, Art Gallery, Gift shop and Home Goods store.

Jamie travels the world looking for the latest in fashion, textiles, jewelry, housewares and accessories to be sold and displayed at LOST & FOUND. Everything is carefully considered and one of a kind.

Now you know.

ON LOCATION
October 27th, 2011Spent the day at an undisclosed location high up in Beverly Hills working on a very special collaboration project. Can’t say much about everything at the moment but rest assured more information will be coming your way soon. Jasmine was on her hustle answering emails on the Blackberry as the photo shoot was taking place in the backyard. Stay tuned for more on this exciting project.

INTO THE WILD
October 26th, 2011Ventured over to SIREN STUDIOS today on Sunset today to take a behind the scenes look at the Crooks and Castles Winter Lookbook photo shoot. We provided the guys over at CROOKS with some of the latest MOSLEY TRIBES sunglasses to style out their models. Not to be overlooked was the adult Serval cat named Alex that was hanging out on the shoot.

Waiting for his close up…

This guy was a trooper all day assisting the models on the shoot without any hassle. Gotta hand it to the creative team at CROOKS for what is destined to be another great Lookbook. Can’t stop the CROOKS, or Alex.

HOW SOON IS NOW?!
October 18th, 2011A group of us ventured out to Santa Monica on Saturday night to catch up with our good friend Indio Falconer Downey and his band THE SEEMS. The show was played at Deyermond Art + Books on Main Street in Santa Monica. Those fortunate enough to catch these guys on Saturday night got an up close and personal view to one of the best up and coming bands in Los Angeles.

The MOSLEY TRIBES family is looking forward to more big things from Indio and THE SEEMS. Stay Tuned.
