This past week I had the pleasure with meeting Mike and Jason from PARABELLUM, I have to say that it has been a long time since I have seen a company/brand pay as much attention to detail and quality. The iconography, subtle symbolism, and precise package presentation makes thier products supreme. The leather goods that they produce is made from 100% American Bison leather that is from fully grown and mature 15 year old bison. Through using older and more mature leathers they achieve amazing textures and patterns that cannot be achieved in processed leathers. Kevlar is used to reinforce all their goods as an interior liner and space age ceramic buttons that brand each piece in the collection. When you are at Collette in Paris or Tomorrowland in Tokyo take a look at the collection, it will blow your mind.
This weeks issue of WWD Mens featured the new up and coming style called the Burke by MOSLEY TRIBES in Tiger Tortoise, which is a custom color that the MOSLEY TRIBES team created specifically for this season. The Burke is such a great style that will be coming to the marketplace very soon. The keyhole bridge mixed with the smaller round optical inspiration is really hot in the streets right now and was well received last week at our press preview day in New York. And this press hit only reiterates our feelings on how strong this colorway is and will be with the consumer.
The Honor Fraser team has begun to assemble an impressively comprehensive collection of Andy Warhol’s Camouflage series for an exhibition on the West Coast, the likes of which have never been seen. The event will showcase Camouflage canvas silkscreens and for the first time, prints from the series, alongside with previously unseen test proofs. The series was created by taking photographs of camouflage fabric, cutting the patterns into layers and then screening them onto canvases. The exhibition will run from October 30 until February 5, 2011 and will be accompanied by a catalogue designed by Brian Roettinger and with an essay by Vincent Fremont.

This past Friday Jazzy and myself jumped out of the office and headed over to the Paul Smith store on Melrose Ave. to check out the custom 1956 Mini Cooper. This car is on tour right now and is fully operational. The Paul Smith store is always a place where all the details really matter, from vintage rolex watches, stuffed animals to amazing art books. I always find it inspiring to see what Paul is in to, we are also proud to say that you can find all the recent Oliver Peoples, Paul Smith and Mosley Tribes eye-wear on display.
Such a classic, i really love the fender flairs and logo on the grill, i realized that it is in the shape of Great Britain. Its really all about the subtle details.
We don’t like to follow directions.
Lookin good from here.

I have been a fan of Danny Trejo for many reasons, but i have to say that i am really hyped to see this indie cult style film that was directed Ethan Maniquis Robert Rodriguez
The all star cast of this movie include De Niro, Lohan, Rodriguez, Alba, Seagal, Johnson, Cheech. So peep the trailer and get on board.
So this morning I had a meeting about a special project that i am working on for MOSLEY. So i was invited to this secret collection, well its more like a stockpile of Army Navy surplus that was a huge warehouse filled from floor to ceiling with amazing equipment and global military BDU’s. They had US, European and Russian castaways, I climbed to the top of this pile that was about 11 feet high to snap the photo above, it was canvas in all directions. I could have spent all day digging and finding many gems, i will be back. There is so much inspiration here, the location will remain in my brain, just thought i would give you a taste of my morning.
