Janelle Monáe brings the feeling of Motown back to the forefront, it has been a minute since i have been impressed by a music video. The art direction and influence of the Motown Soul era permeates the music and visual imagery by director Wendy Morgan. There are many elements from the early Jackson 5 that i can hear and see. Today we want to honor the life of Steve McQueen, he was born this day back in 1930. What can be said about this man who embodied the Anti-Hero attitude, which he developed at the height of Vietnam Counter-Culture era. He also had amazing style that was simple yet transcended many era’s in american fashion. When I here people refer to something being classic, McQueen always comes to mind. He is most notably know for his films (The Magnificent Seven, The Great Escape, The Thomas Crown Affair, Bullitt, The Getaway, Papillon,The Towering Inferno) car/moto racing. and directing. Here at MOSLEY TRIBES we saw McQueen as one of the most iconic references when we were creating the brand, he embodied the persona of what MOSLEY TRIBES strived to embody, and his eyewear was always on point. So enjoy this clip below it is on of my favorite scenes from Bullitt.

I just received photos today from paul and the boys over at The Social Trust, and wow they are really amazing. This is the crew that rolled out to Santa Fe (minus Darrin he lives there) to document life and art. It was a great trip and look forward to our short film that we will be releasing soon. Just want to thank these guys for all there hard work that they have put into this project, and i can see now that it will turn heads. Expect the unexpected from MOSLEY TRIBES.

This past Monday we did our seasonal shoot for MOSLEY TRIBES, this was the part II of the Santa Fe shoot. I just want to thank all the people that came together for this shoot to make it a success.
