Keri Hilson – Debut Album Release 03/24/09

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Mosley Music and Interscope Record label artist Keri Hilson has brought fire to the scene with hits like Turnin Me On and As I Are with Timbaland. Her much anticipated debut album “In a Perfect World” is FINALLY dropping next Tuesday, March 24th.

Don’t mistake her for a new-b to the game – Miss Keri has been writing hit singles for the likes of Ciara, Usher, and Queen of R&B Mary J. Blige. Once I found out that Keri wrote the hit single “LIke a Boy” for Ciara (another female favorite) I knew she was a force to be recognized. Empowering lyrics and rider beats is definitely some of the traits that I love about her music. Not to mention her style is on point. ;) Love the movement.

GINGHAM by A.P.C

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

The crew here at MOSLEY TRIBES is a big fan of the Gingham Fabric. Here is a little history lesson on our favorite woven. Gingham made its first appearance in the 17th century, where it was imported to England and then migrated to the American Colonies. Originally, using two different color fibers to produce a striping effect created gingham. But as time went on, gingham fabrics began to appear that had a checkered pattern, as well as plaids. Blue and white was the color combination of choice for many years. And now APC has released a parka that is sure to be a staple in anyone’s closet.

Coming to Brentwood near you.

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

MONOCLE: My favorite magazine is finally bringing there retail location to LA. What great news! Tyler Brule’s world renowned title covering arts, politics, ideas, fashion, and far beyond, celebrated year 2 since its inception in 2006. Already, Brule’s baby is a bona-fide brand for the culture conscience tastemaker. Following the success of the first Monocle shop in London’s Marylebone last year, the brand will open a new store in Los Angeles on Monday, April 6.

The Brentwood location of The Monocle Shop at 225 26th Street, Suite 19b, will feature new collaborations between the brand and designers, like the Comme des Garçons’ Hinoki candle, a unique sweatshirt from Tomorrowland, and a high-tech running kit created with John Smedley. “Monocle is opening a shop in L.A. for a variety of reasons,” said Brule. “One is the location. We were offered a great space in a high traffic area which possesses a similar demographic and ‘community feel’ to our Marylebone store in London. Two, we think L.A. provides a great opportunity for us–it’s a pop culture hub and evidence from our subscriber base suggests we have a ready-made market out there. Also, our online Monocle shop is already popular on the West Coast, particularly the Orlebar Brown Swimming Trunks and the Porter Bags.”

Brule will throw an intimate launch party with several members of his team, more info after the jump.
