Brooklyn Bomber *post no bills*
Thursday, September 25th, 2008So my homie Mark from NY along with his good friend Odin went on the prowl last week in Brooklyn hitting up construction sites that are building architectural monstrosities with a lack of respect or thought of surrounding neighborhoods and communities. This bombing was part of the CONFLUX Urban Art Festival in the NY that brings the heat every year. By the photos you can see that the message was clear ” we don’t want you here” this is a great example of mismanagement of resources and poor city planning. Keep up the good work guys you are fighting the good fight and making cool art at the same time and keeping Jose employed. We here at Mosley Tribes endorse the beautification of urban environments. Lets get creative people. Peep the link for more info.

Keep it Gangster Karl
Wednesday, September 24th, 2008Chanel’s 2009 Cruise Collection Show brought new meaning to the words, ” Killer Heels.” Taking the literary speech of shoe loving fashionistas all around. I give it up to Mr. Lagerfeld for designing a heel that stands out among the cut out wedges, backwards heels, and jewel encrusted models out today. I’m ok with the otherwise simple design of the sandal – wonder how much these pieces of art will be?
These gun heels bring new meaning to street luxury to me. Running HEAT on you.

More Downtown Love…
Monday, September 22nd, 2008Futura.
Our on the street reporter Angine was downtown enjoying the greatest weather in the world and scoping out the FUTURA show and taking flicks of Street Art-chitecture. There are so many little streets with walls that have been converted into canvases all over this great city and Angie found a good one. Once i get the name and location of this piece i will post it up so you can check it out for yourself, and maybe if the timing is right you might contribute to this work or do one of your own, support your local wall artist! The great thing about wall art is that most of it is super limited and is constantly changing and being re-updated. You can thank the Los Angeles Department of Public Works Graffiti Removal Team for creating new canvases free of charge.

SUNNY HOURS…
Monday, September 22nd, 2008So today is offically the first day of fall, for the rest of the US that may mean something but for us in So. Cal we wouldn’t even know it arrived. Its 85 degrees today and for the rest of the week, and that is why traffic is so bad! Everyone loves our weather so they move here and so I just want to say big up to all the locals here in LA. Not the peeps that have lived here of only 5 years and think this is there hometown or just cause they have a cali license plate, but the born and bred individuals. Its seems like transplants have over run our citties and streets. So i am posting to vids that are real close to home for me. Manhattan Beach California & Long Beach California. The First vid is something that i did not do the whole summer, go to the beach and catch some waves here in LA. For me the only reason to go to the beach is to ride the waves, none of this layout and chill on the sand leave that to the peeps from Iowa here on vacation. I am really lookin forward to the winter storms and some nice barrels at my local spot, time to break out the wetsuit and wax up the board and get back in shape. The second vid is of a band that i have kinda lost touch with but is still a fav, The Long Beach Dub Allstars. The title of the song is “Sunny Hours” that how i like to remember california weather. I know that the days will start to get shorter and cooler. Here at MOSLEY TRIBES we are all about the sun so get out of the office and get some.
