So the APOLIS crew this Wednesday we will be having an event at Context in Madison, Wisconsin. Context was the first store to sell APOLIS and has also been nominated one of GQ’s top 100 stores in America. If you are not out in Madison, WI then you can also catch some more heat on there website.

I have never really been a fan of dress shoes but now there are so many great options. Maybe it is because i am older and appreciate great design and the wide range of creativity in the use of materials and texture options. Opening Ceremony have some great looks for the fall. I have been waiting for this film to be released for a minute. I hope that my wait is coming to an end. Che and his ideals of revolution and socialism have always sounded great. I believe that his heart was true to the fact of empowering the powerless and serving his fellow man. This is evident during his years as Global Embassador for Cuba along with many other conflicts that he participated in. There is so much that can be said about this Argentinian Icon, which has become an icon for many others in the past and current struggles against oppressive governments. I urge those of you who have not read about this man and his story. It would be a great way to get the full scope of his life. The movie and only do so much.

When I said I was curious to see another sneaker/high end collab, I never imagined a combo like this – Puma x Sergio Rossi.Then again, we’re living in the era of random collaborations so what’s one more.
These are set to drop in January, 2009 exclusively sold at Collette. I’m cool with the white mary jane heels but I think I’ll hold my pennies till the Jeremy Scott / Adidas collection drops the month after.

French haute couture designer Christian Lacroix has teamed up with British tennis shoe vet Gola to launch a series of elaborately designed sneakers. After Pierre Hardy blew my mind with their primary paint colored highs, I was waiting to see more high fashion houses to do sneakers.
The Paisley embroidered designs are great interpretations of Christian Lacroix – very theatrical and romantic. I can see either of these paired with a ruffled silk blouse, fitted blazer, and super skinny jeans. The slim silhouette allows this shoe to be styled with dressier pieces for a very put together look.
These are set to drop January, 2009 and will be priced from $250.00 – $400.00. If you’re a comfort chic, the cost per wear on these joints could be worth the ticket!
