So i ran across these today and it took me back for a minute, BillyKirk are old friends from when Traction Ave was in the infant stages of becoming the Artist District of Los Angeles. I met the Bray brothers back in 2001 and came to find out that they were skilled leather craftsman that had a studio and were doing high quality hand made goods. It was really cool to see them in their element with all types of leathers and tools that looked like they were from the 19th century. They had made me custom watch bands and wallets that were one of a kind. It is great to see that they are really taking off and still making ill leather bags and accessories. They are now based out of New York and killing it as you can see. When you get a minute peep out their website and cop some of the best hand made leather products around.

Been on the espresso kick since getting back from Italy, whether it be hot from the press or a doppio over ice it is all good. The Brunopasso is one of the sickest presses that i have seen in a while that was inspired by Ferrari. The PD-1 machine was created with Italian sports cars in mind. Of course there aren’t many ways a coffee machine can look like a Ferrari, except of course a shiny red paint job (among other choices), automobile-inspired gauges that form a little mini-dashboard, and a lever made of beechwood for pressing the coffee.

Came across this the other day and i wanted to post it up. I am not a huge fan of online magazines, the criteria for me is that the navigation needs to be right on, otherwise i am over it in about 2 seconds. Suprisingly this one is really a good read and has relevent and interseting columns and features, the music selection is really on point. Peep the blog for some knowledge and the Flash navi makes it fluid.

So last night was the Summer Sessions jumpoff for Oliver Peoples Sunset Plaza store, people lined up outside before the doors opened to get a jump on the great sale. After the first 15 minutes the store was jammed packed with people grabbing frames off the shelves. Buscemi had the killer sale of the night to the owner of Green Door who rolled through with his wife and copped 10 pairs! The weather was amazing, 80 degrees with a breeze this is why i love California. So GLeight and I grabbed some icy Peroni’s and headed for the sidewalk to post up and people watch. Cant wait to see what pops off next week.

Went to the 5th anniversary of The Hundreds which was held at the Foreign Family Gallery in K-Town this past Friday with my main man GLeight to say whats up to the homies and mash on some Korean BBQ. Ran into my boy FLYNN from the MC crew LA Symphony at The Hundreds jumpoff and got caught up on the haps with him, turns out he has been working on solo project colabs that are currently under the radar. It was great to reconnect with him and talk about mutual friends and the LA life, great to Flynn back in town hustlin. Flynn has been down with MOSLEY TRIBES for a minute now and i really look forward to hearing what him and Pigeon John got cookin.
