Canvas Boutique and Art Gallery is quite possibly the best new retail spot that you likely don’t know about. Nestled away in Malibu’s one and only country mart, Canvas exhibits the ideal retail experience. With a down to earth environment and modern and tasteful architecture, it’s like your in a contemporary/luxury ma and pa fashion boutique. Everyday your likely to find store owners Arlington and Jack Forbes to guide you through your retail experiences. The store carries the likes of Commes de Garcons, A.P.C., Yohji Yamamoto, Common Projects, PF Flyers, Stussy, Nike and of course yours truly, MOSLEY TRIBES. Not to mention Clientele such as Anthony Kiedis, Flea, and more. And most importantly exclusive variations of art that you would find nowhere else (check the photos below for examples). However on this chilly but beautiful Malibu night, Sarah and I cruised by after work to help celebrate the launch of the PF Flyers x Canvas sneaker which are limited to 12 total pairs in black and white. See for yourself, the shoe is awesome, especially the Hawaiian flowered inseam that gives it that full Malibu feel. Hats off to Jack and Arlingon…dare I say my favorite store in Malibu…well, I work in one there, so maybe my second favorite.

Then after a Jack Daniels filled saturday night…we randomly ran into Rachel from the OLIVER PEOPLES design team at Jerry’s Famous Deli at 2:30 in the morning. I love to throw these little things in, because it always comes full circle, somehow and someway. (I bet the guy in the back didn’t know his ill satin hoodie was gonna make it on our blog…check him out, the big guy’s eating carrots son!)
